Setting up ONE Series Pedals for MIDI
Source Audio provides a few ways to connect ONE series pedals (C4, Ventris, EQ2, etc.)to MIDI controllers:
USB. Any of our controllers with USB Host functionality, like MC6 Pro, can directly connect to Source Audio pedals. You can also use a USB MIDI host adapter (like the Disaster Area gHOST).
Neuro Hub. All One Series pedals can pass MIDI through the Neuro port using the Neuro Hub. Make sure that you set the Neuro Hub and your Source Audio pedals to different MIDI channels for each.
MIDI Adapter. Source Audio has recently released a small MIDI adapter that allows MIDI TRS Type A in and out to one pedal, connected to the adapter through the TRRS Neuro port.
MIDI DIN and TRS. The bigger pedals (Ventris, Nemesis, Collider) and the EQ2 can connect by DIN. The Artifakt uses MIDI TRS Type A.
Make sure that you read Source Audio's documentation to set up the settings of your device in the Neuro Editor or mobile app. Note that many of the Source Audio pedals use CC messages and not PC messages for changing presets, and that the CC mapping for many pedals is adjustable. Go into the Neuro Editor and go to Device Settings => Edit Device MIDI Map to pull the MIDI map for that specific pedal.
Preset Scrolling
Once you have a One Series pedal set up for MIDI, you can see this guide to make a page for scrolling presets: How To Make a Page for Scrolling Presets or Program Change (PC) messages . Just make sure that you change all "PC Number Scroll" messages to "CC Number Scroll" for pedals that don't respond to PC messages.
Source Audio Collider
Lag in audio when changing presets
With two DSPs to clear out, then load in the next engines, there’s double the amount of work the pedal has to do to lose presets, especially compared to the nemesis (one DSP) or the ventris in single mode (two DSPs but only using one when in single mode, otherwise in dual mode it has the same lag as collider, which is always in dual mode given the 2 unique sides of the pedal). So it’s unfortunately not something we can get around.
