Calibrating Resistor Ladder Aux Switches
Overview
The Resistor Ladder Aux Switch feature for the Omniport allows you to connect up to 8 (for the MC3/MC6MKII/MC8) or 16 (for the pro series) external switches using Omniport 1.
We are currently not manufacturing the aux switch but you should be able to find a third party manufacturer.
Schematic
The recommend resistor values can be found below. Different values may be used, as long as the controller can read a different value on each switch during the calibration process.
Only the Tip and Sleeve is used in the Omniport. The Ring connection is ignored, so you can use a TS cable with this.

Setup Process
Configure Omniport 1
- Connect to the Editor and then set Omniport 1 to Resistor Ladder Aux Switch
- Save settings and restart your controller to apply the new Omniport settings.

Calibrate Switches
- Go to Controller Settings > Configure Omniports. Click on Calibration Menu. This will open the calibration menu on your MC controller, which will display a value based on the resistance it reads.
- Press and hold down one of your resistor ladder aux switches to see its resistance value on your MC controller display (look at your MIDI controller display to see this).
- Enter that value under Trigger Value on the Editor, and map it to your desired function as shown below.

In the example above, the resistor ladder switch has a resistance value of 11, which has been mapped to MIDI Clock Tap Tempo.
Continue this process for the rest of the switches.
