Removing the SD card in the MC PRO
The MC PRO has an on-board SD card to store all your data.
- You'll need to remove the 4 screws at the bottom to remove the backplate. After removing, you'll see the SD card on the board.

- Slide the metal cover down towards the direction of the red arrows to unclip it.


- After which, the metal cover can be lifted up and the SD card removed.

Reformatting the SD card
In the event you need to reformat the SD card, the SD card needs to be reformatted to the FAT32 file system.
Instructions for Windows OS
- Insert the SD card into your computer using an SD card reader.
- Open File Explorer (
Windows + E). - Click This PC.
- Locate your SD card under Devices and drives.
- Right-click the SD card and select Format...
- Configure the following settings:
- File system:
FAT32(Recommended) - Allocation unit size: Default
- Volume label: MORNINGSTAR
- Leave Quick Format checked.
- File system:
- Click Start.
- Click OK when prompted.
- Wait for the formatting process to complete, then click OK.
Safely eject the SD card before removing it from your computer.
Instructions for mac OS
- Insert the SD card into your Mac using an SD card reader.
- Open Disk Utility:Press
Command + Space, type Disk Utility, and press Return. - In the menu bar, click View → Show All Devices.
- Select the SD card (the device itself, not the volume underneath it).
- Click Erase.
- Configure the following settings:Name: MORNINGSTARFormat: MS-DOS (FAT) *(This is FAT32 on macOS.)*Scheme: Master Boot Record
If there is an option to select an allocation unit size, use 32kB.
After reformatting the card, you'll need to load the default files into the SD card. Please email us if you need the files.
