USB Virtual MIDI Ports

USB Virtual MIDI Ports allow your MIDI controller to connect simultaneously to multiple applications at the same time. In the most common scenario, you may want to have your MIDI controller connected to the Morningstar Editor and your DAW/plugin at the same time. Using different USB Virtual MIDI Ports, will allow you to do so without conflict.

To enable USB Virtual MIDI Ports, go to Controller Settings > General > USB Virtual MIDI Ports. Enable as many ports as you need. For example, you if you need to connect to 2 different application, select 2 and so on.

Port 1 is always used for the Editor, so be sure to use ports other than 1 for your other applications. In the example shown below, USB Virtual MIDI Port 2 is selected for MIDI connectivity to Logic Pro, so Port 1 can be used for connecting to the Editor.

The same applies for any other application. Just go into MIDI settings and select the appropriate MC MIDI Controller Port.
