Ableton Arm on Selection
Enabling Arm on Selection in Ableton Arm on Selection in Ableton allows you to automatically arm the track as soon as it is selected. This option is not enabled by default in Ableton, and requires you to place a text file in the Ableton folder. You may find that the Ableton Looper button is not functioning the same when triggering it with your Morningstar controller as it is with a mouse click. The problem being that it cannot stay in overdub mode. There is a simple fix for this. Just add the same CC message with value 0 triggered by a Release action below your first MIDI message as shown below (CC5 is used for this example but you can use any CC number you want). If you map a CC number to a toggle button on Ableton, value 127 will engage it and value 0 will disengage it. That's great if you want to have absolute control over a function, to turn it on or off. However, there may be times you also want to make changes on Ableton using your mouse or on the computer itself.
