Overview

For the MC3, MC6MKII and MC8 MIDI controllers, each preset can send up to 16 messages. That is usually more than enough for most use cases. The MC6 PRO sends up to 32 messages per preset.

If you need to send more messages beyond the preset limits, you can utilise unused messages in other presets.

There are 2 ways to do this.

Using Engage Preset

The Engage Preset message type allows you to engage presets in the same or different bank with a specified action.

So, you can use your Preset Engage message to execute messages mapped with “No Action” in a different preset:

Bank 1 Preset A

Bank 2 Preset B

Using Trigger Messages

The Trigger Message message type lets you trigger selected messages from different presets within the same bank.

In the example below, we are using Preset A to trigger Messages 14, 15, 16 in Preset B.

Bank 1 Preset A

Bank 1 Preset B
