PC/CC message is working but ML10X message type is not

Problem

If you find that PC or CC messages are working when controlling the ML10X, but the ML10X message type is not working, it is likely because there are MIDI device inbetween the MC and ML10X that are not passing SysEx messages through. For example, the HX Stomp does not pass SysEx through, so if you have a MIDI signal chain like this:

MC6 >> HX Stomp >> ML10X

The ML10X is not going to receive any of the ML10X messages from the MC6.

Solution

Connect your ML10X directly to your MC.
